Plastic Surgery To Make You Look Like A Star
Is it a harmless sign of the times or an indication of how shallow society is becoming? Some people are actually trying to get plastic surgeons to help them look like their favorite movie stars.
From Jessica Alba's nose to Heath Ledgers chin. Celebrity body parts are some of the most requested looks in plastic surgeons offices today.
"This is the new era so to speak," said Dr. Leonard Grossman.
Its the latest trend in cosmetic surgery.
A recent survey reports nine times out of ten, when a person goes under the knife, they're hoping the feature being altered will end up looking like a partcular celebrity's.
26-year-old student and part time model Radka Jureckovia
combed the pages of celebrity and fashion magazines until she found the perfect pout.
"I like her lips, I wanted my lips to look more fuller, more sensual," said Jureckovia, speaking about Meg Ryan.
Radka had a lip augmentation. A synthetic product was surgically implanted to permanently enhance her lips. She says it's no different than wanting to mimic Ryan's hairstyle.
"Now people go and they want the nose or the cheek or the breasts or the legs of a celebrity," said Jureckovia.
But unlike asking your hair stylist to give you Siena Miller's bob, cosmetic surgeon Dr. Leonard Grossman warns altering your appearance through a cosmetic procedure is serous surgery. It's also permanent so you dont want to a look that doesn't fit your features.
"There is something wrong with someone trying to focus on a body part thinking that it will change everything about me, which it does not," said Dr. Grossman.
According to "In Touch Weekly", some of the most requested looks belong to Angelina Jolie, Jessica Simpson, Matthew McConaghy, and Jennifer Aniston.
